Engineered and built in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, where the winters are long and hard, Energy King furnaces and hot water furnaces represent the ultimate in solid fuel heating appliances. Our experienced engineers know what it takes to build solid, long lasting, central heating equipment.

Designing, testing, labeling and producing and innovative quality product requires a substantial commitment of time, effort and money. "Consumer Safety" and "Product Durability", the primary objective at Energy King, provides you the safety and comfort your family deserves. This emphasis on quality is evident in every phase of Energy King production. Raw materials must meet or exceed stringent and comprehensive specification before they are accepted for fabrication. Very close tolerances are imposed during the fabrication and assembly process to insure uniformity of product.

	Energy King's "Shaker Grates 5-bar Shaker Grate System" has been engineered to allow for the precise amount of combustion air under the fuel bed. The Shaker System is activated by an externally mounted shaker arm. Thus, eliminating the need to open the ash door to shake the grates.
	Energy King offers an automatic thermostat controlled draft system. You have a choice of a forced draft or natural draft which operates with a wall thermostat located in the living area of your home.
	Energy King large blower (Not available of the hot water furnace) delivers a full 1850 CFM of air to your home. The large 3-speed blower is housed in a standard cold air return box that can be installed with the return air on the left of right side of the furnace for ease of installation.

All Energy King furnaces are raised off the floor on legs. The eliminates the accumulation of moisture between the floor and the bottom of the unit, that may cause damage to the metal parts of the furnaces.

Energy King model 480EK furnaces are constructed of ¼", 7 gauge and 10 gauge high grade steel. The 480EK also features a secondary heat exchanger, located outside of the firebox so heat can be transferred to the air jacket. The heat exchanger reclaims heat from the smoke before it leaves the furnace. The damper separates the heat exchanger and the firebox to keep the heat from escaping thru the chimney. Heat transfer fins, welded to the sides of the firebox, also adds greater efficiency.

Energy King model 35EKB hot water furnaces is welded with the highest quality welding process called "submerged arc" to give you the best in durability and longevity for your hot water furnace. The Energy King's large water capacity and heat transfer area insures that the fuel you put in will be turned into precious BTU's for heating your home. The 35EKB hot water furnaces are constructed of ¼" plate steel. Reinforcement rods have been added to the water jacket for additional strength.

All Energy King furnaces use 2000° firebrick, and heavy cast iron grates and doors. When firing the unit, the by-pass damper is opened to allow the smoke to exit thru the chimney. After firing, closing the by-pass damper allows the smoke to pass through the secondary heat exchanger.
